In With the New, Out with the Old...

Day 79

Happy New Year's Eve!! For tonight, my nails required sparkle, and champagne, and that's what they got!! ;-P

I used OPI Dazzled by Gold for the Champagne, China Glaze Liquid Leather as a base for the other nails, China Glaze White on White for the white on the champagne glass, and Zoya Luna for the silver sparkle. Everything was topped off with 2 coats of Seche Vite top coat. :)

I hope that everyone has a very Happy and VERY safe New Year's Eve!! Remember your designated driver!

Edited to add:

Here is a pic of me enjoying a 'champagne' toast ;) Don't mind the hair- this was at the end of the night after walking across downtown in the snow!! lol

I decided to play around with some of the Dry nail polish Incoco set me for review.
I Used Bling for my Pedicure and for the moons of my half moon mani.
I used Color Club Velvet Rope and added dots with Color Club Worth the Risque and a few tiny rhinestones for extra bling.

Get Footloose and Fun-kay....

Day 76

Hey everyone!!! How is your Monday going?! Lots of you had to go back to work today, and I really feel for you... but I'm on VACATION!!!! lol Ok, so I'm on vaca in Michigan, does that REALLY count? Anyway, I present to you today's nails... I bough Funky Limelight a while ago, and really wanted to use it, soooo....I did.

I used Essie Funky Limelight as a base, with Essie Foot Loose applied with Konad Plate m69. Topped it all off with Seche Vite top coat. :)

BTW, the pic doesn't even begin to show how bright Funky Limelight is, its rather blinding. :-P

Black Phoenix Alchemy labs Claw polish review part III

Today I am wearing BPAL's Smokestack

This one is very unique, it's a Deep smokey navy blue with dark Gray blue shimmer.
Application was as with the last two, fabulous! Smooth no issue formula, opaque in two thin coats.
My favorite part is that this looks navy always, in every lighting it is obviously navy also the shimmer is your dirty little secret until you are in the sunlight. I adore

New Year's Eve Party

This is the full tutorial for the New Year's Eve celebration that I did earlier. For this design I used a 4mm hot pink rhinestone I got from Michael's craft store as the focal point. That I surrounded with gold mini beads I got from ebay. I also used 3mm hot pink, light pink, dark & light purple rhinestones that I got from Micheal's.

This design is very quick, simple and easy to do. Simply paint the nail the colr of your choice, draw two lines crossing with gold nail art striper polish and cover that with gold glitter nail art striper polish. Next place the 4mm hot pink rhinestone {or you can choose rhinestones in colors that match your outfit for the evening} and surround that with the gold mini beads and finally in one of the sections of the nail randomly place the 3mm rhinestones.

It really is as easy as it looks so try it out this New Year's Eve!

Tip your glasses!

Well this is the idea my friend came up with for the New Year's Eve themed contest. This is my first attempt at a free hand acrylic design. I didn't use any other embellishments on this design because it is busy enough as is.

I like the way it turned out, I do however need practice and to try again and make it a bit more neat. I'll be doing a full tutorial once I have this design completed. I just wanted to post my first try. I haven't worked with acrylic in years so I'm definately rusty and need practice. That will be coming very soon as I plan on doing my own acrylic VERY SOON!

Keep an eye out for more of my acrylic work because I have some crazy Hello Kitty designs in mind for the future!!! Yay for Kitty!

Take care Y'all!

Magical Footloose Attraction

Day 75

Hey all, sorry this post is so late tonight, 10:38 PM EST!!! I just got to my sister's after traveling BACK across the state to spend the remainder of my vacation here in freezing cold Grand Rapids, MI. WOOOOO!! Today's nails were spur of the moment, and I JUST bought this polish at Meijer (a midwest chain supermarket/superstore), and for a $2.99 polish, I have to say, its gorgeous. Fully opaque in 2 coats, but I did 3 for extra sparkle. (as if it needs any extra!! lol)

and a blurred one so you can see the sparkliness better, but the picture doesn't come NEAR capturing its glory. :-P

I used Massini Magic Attraction as a base, with Essie Foot Loose applied with Konad Plate m69, and then flower/swirl pattern was hand painted with China Glaze Liquid Leather. Topped off with Seche Vite top coat.

This one is sure going to be a bugger to get off, darn glitter. :-P

I finally had a chance to try the 3D nail art molds.

This is a modified version of the design that I currently have on my thumb nail. On the rest of my fingers I have the Frosty French design. I just wanted to try out ther 3d nail art molds that I recently posted about. I love them! They are so easy to use and only take a couple of minutes to do.

Very soon I'll be making a few tutorials using them so be sure to stay tuned for that. Remember that you can get these 3d nail art molds Noxandra's ebay store for $1.99 & $1.00 shipping!

Times Square

This is my first New Year's Eve 3d nail art design. As I've said it was inspired by the ball dropping in Times Square. This design is very east to do and very quick!

Sorry if the music sucks but I like Abba {I'm showing my age LOL}

Stay tuned for more New Year's Eve tutorials this week! Take care!

Limbo Bimbo

What, dare I ask, IS a Limbo Bimbo? Francesca if she only went to first base with Paolo? The woman who takes the cheers of "How LOW can you GO?" at her local limbo competition a little too metaphorically?

If the latter, I think the creators of this shade have done an excellent job of capturing the spirit of tropical harlotry. Actually, this exact shade of pink is what I imagine on the toenails of the runner-up of MILF Island as she scrabbles desperately for a foothold during the Bikini Limbo-Off over the Pit of Snakes and Baby Oil.

I think the most pressing question, though, is what kind of woman wants to deliberately go out and associate herself with outdated misogynistic slang. I appreciate the rhyme, but in this context, it just feels like a set-up for a vaguely seedy limerick:

A lady out painting her nails
Hopes to lure in a new set of males:
"If my fresh coat of Bimbo
Doesn't catch trucker Jimbo
I'll look bad on Springer!" she wails.

Mad as a Hatter

Day 74

Hey all!! I hope that everyone's Christmas went beautifully, that everyone got to spend time with their families, and that everyone's travels found them safely at their destinations this year!! I must admit, I'm rather elated to be able to not do Christmas themed nails today, is that bad?! :-P Sorry if it is, but yeah, I was running out of ideas!! Today's nails make me think of The Mad Hatter for some reason, I think its the acid green base that does it... but not entirely sure. Sorry again for the poor cleanup- still no good remover here at the parents' house.

I used Barielle Polished Princess as a base, with China Glaze L8R G8R applied with Konad Plate m65. For the tips, I used Essie Foot Loose for freehand painted tips. Topped everything off with 2 coats of Seche Vite top coat.

Anyone get any good after Christmas deals today??

CND Effects review

I recieved some samples from CND for review:
Inkwell-A deep blackened Blue creme
Silver chrome- Metallic silver
Effects copper shimmer-Sheer Milky white with tons of copper shimmer
Super Matte top coat

I decided to get a little creative.
I did 2 coats of Inkwell
sponged Silver chrome at the free edge
1 coat of Effects Copper shimmer
1 coat of Effects Scarlet shimmer (I already had this)

I love

Watch the Ball Drop

I created this nail art design today with the intention of looking like the ball dropping on New Year's Eve. This design is very simple easy and elegant. The decorations I used were a 5mm rhinestone and silver mini beads. This look is great for a night out on the town!

The tutorial should be available shortly. I'm not sure but this may be an entry for a contest for New Year's Eve themed nail designs. I have an idea that I really want to try but it's one of those ideas that will turn out awesome or totally fail so we'll have to see. I have high hopes!

I hope that everyone had an awesome Christmas!

Dasher and Dance, Donner and Blitzen...

Day 73

Hey everyone!! I hope that everyone is having the most amazing Christmas to date! Mine started off with a 4-hour (should've been 3) white-knuckled drive across snow and ice covered Michigan fueled only by Dr. Pepper and a gas station hot dog. :-P But, i made it here, safe and sound, and it has been nice to spend time with my family this Christmas- I've even posted a picture of my 'niece' wearing her special Christmas elf hat to be festive for the holidays...

Today's nails are dedicated to the man that hit over 800 houses per second, and consumed over 800,000 calories last night from cookies...and let's not forget his trusty reindeer and faithful navigator with the illuminated nose....I really apologize for it's sloppiness and lack of cleaning up, the nail polish remover I have here at my parents' house is horrible, and I can't get the polish out of my nail art brushes. ARGH!! I'm going to try to get something better tomorrow. Anyway, to the nails...

I used three different colors randomly on all the nails except my right thumb. I used Nubar Milk Chocolate Creme, OPI You Don't Know Jacques, and OPI Ginger Bells. For the eyes I used China Glaze White on White, and China Glaze Liquid Leather. For their noses (except Rudolph's) I used Zoya Angelina, and mixed with China Glaze White on White for the highlight. For Rudolph's nose, I used China Glaze Salsa. For the black on each nail to make the shape of the reindeers' heads, I used China Glaze Liquid Leather. A mix of two not-named jelly polishes in sheer red and sheer yellow (a VERY cute gift from my friend Jodi) was used for Santa's face, China Glaze Salsa for his hat and mouth, China Glaze White on White for the beard, eyes, and hat brim, and Ultra Pro in Blue Blaze for the eyes. For the reindeers' antlers, I mixed China Glaze White on White with Nubar Milk Chocolate Creme. Topped everything off with Seche Vite top coat.

And lastly, here is the last of Christmas... a cake I decorated Wednesday night! :-P

My Nail Art Decoration Collection

I'd like to show my collection of nail art decorations
that I've gotten so far and give some information on
where I purchased the items that I have.

All of the pearl and flower decorations I bought on Ebay. The
seller I got the majority from is Karlinsue.

The bow nail art decorations I purchased from
RHINESTONES AND CRAFTS

I purchased all of the Lace sticker from seller Tamanala.

Hope this post is helpful and stay tuned for the Valentines contest beginning in a few weeks! Some of the prizes are mentioned and shown in this video. But they won't be the only prizes in it, Im shopping as we speak! =D Please y'all anyone who's interested in the nail art molds I checked and they are still available in Noxandra's ebay store for the price of $1.99 and $1.00 flat rate shipping!!!

Feeling a bit Bah Humbug

I think I'll hide out in here today and keep my Humbugs to myself!

I'm having some unpleasant childhood holiday memories today. It sucks but I just can't shake it.

3D nail art molds dirt cheap!!!

Hey Y'all! Merry Christmas! I wanted to take a quick minute to let y'all know about this awesome deal I found on 3D nail art molds.

I just got my order in the mail and I am so HAPPY!!! I've been wanting to try these for a while but at $20 each I was going to wait. The only place that I could find them was the manufacturer and that was just too much. Well I finally found someone on Ebay who sells them and of course its much cheaper than retail prices...

So hold on to your seat and get ready cause this seller is offering them for $1.99!!!! YAY! So in addition to getting some for myself, I also got a couple to include in my upcoming contest prize! I'm pretty sure I'll get a couple more for myself and the lucky winner.

I'm happy to say that my youtube channel is growing so I'm hoping the contest will have a good turn out. I'm going to leave it open for 30 days.

You can find all of thses molds here from Noxandra's ebay store:
http://stores.ebay.com/noxandrastore

There is also another seller, USA beauty supplies offering them for $6.99 and they ship from New York. If you're in the states and want to get them faster try here:

Entry for Rastalove's first contest

Merry Christmas!

This design I created for a contest on youtube. I'm getting hooked on these contests! It really doesn't matter if I win or not, I just like the chance to create designs on demand =) It's a challenge and awesome practice.

For this design I only used one 3d nail art decoration which was a star rhinestone I got from Michael's. There is also confetti glitter polish with silver stars as well but I wouldn't exactly call that 3d. That polish really does make the design stand out though.

I really hope you enjoy the tutorial! I sure had fun making it!

Frosty French tutorial is up!

Finally I have a chance to post this video. This week has been a crazy week! I hope everyone has an awesome holiday. I'm glad to have the chance to spend the holiday just me and my Hubby. =D

This weekend I plan on making at least 2 more tutorials but who knows? Might be more. I have a lot of ideas running around in my head right now & I must do something with them. My priority is a New Year's Eve design, followed by the thumb design with the heart I did with this design.

The nail art decorations I used for this design were white craft glitter which I got from Joann's, 2mm translucent pink pearls & silver mini-beads which I got from ebay. The design was very easy and is a great winter look!

Everyone be safe and take good care! Merry Christmas!!!

Happy Holidays

May the winter Fairy bring you many sparkly things!
I love you all and thank you for making my blog the happy and fun place it has become!
Hugs and big red liped Kisses!

Twas the Day Before Christmas...

Day 72

...and all the through the house.... I did the Christmas poem on my nails!

I used

Right Thumb: Twas the Night Before Xmas...

OPI Russian Navy Suede as a base, with China Glaze White on White for the moon.

Right Index:...and all through the house

OPI Russian Navy Suede as a base, with OPI Ginger Bells, China Glaze White on White, and China Glaze Liquid Leather for the house.

Right Middle: Not a Creature was stirring, not even a mouse! (unfortunately you cant see the mouse well in the photos! :( just his pink nose!

Nubar Milk Chocolate Creme as a base, with China Glaze Liquid Leather for the floor and lines, OPI You Don't Know Jacques Matte for the mouse, and a mix of China Glaze White on White and China Glaze Salsa for his nose. :)

Right Ring: WHICH IS ACCIDENTALLY upside down!!! The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there.

China Glaze Liquid Leather as base, with OPI Ginger Bells for the brick fireplace, Zoya Pippa, Sally Hanson Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear in 06 Sun Kissed, and China Glaze Salsa for the fire, China Glaze Salsa for the stocking with China Glaze Emerald Sparkle border, and China Glaze White on White for the mortar on the bricks.

Right Pinky: The children were nestled all snug in their beds,

OPI Russian Navy Suede as a base, with China Glaze White on White for the Zs.

Left Pinky: While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads. And mamma in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap, Had just settled our brains for a long winter’s nap.

Barielle Grape Escape as base with both OPI Parlez Vous OPI? and China Glaze White on White applied with a sponge to make it look sugary. lol

Left Ring: When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter, I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter. Away to the window I flew like a flash, Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

OPI Russian Navy Suede as a base, with OPI You Don't Know Jacques Matte for the window panes, China Glaze White on White for the snow, and OPI Ginger Bells for the walls.

Left Middle: The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below. When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tinny reindeer.

OPI Russian Navy Suede as a base, with China Glaze Salsa, BB Couture Poison Ivy and OPI Dazzled by Hold for the sleigh, and China Glaze White on White for the snow.

Left index: With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be St Nick.
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!

"Now Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! On, Cupid! on, on Donner and Blitzen!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!"

As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky.
So up to the house-top the coursers they flew,
With the sleigh full of Toys, and St Nicholas too.

And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Down the chimney St Nicholas came with a bound.

He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot.
A bundle of Toys he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a peddler, just opening his pack.

His eyes-how they twinkled! his dimples how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow.

The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,
And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath.
He had a broad face and a little round belly,
That shook when he laughed, like a bowlful of jelly!

He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself!
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the stockings, then turned with a jerk.
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose!

He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.

China Glaze Salsa as a base, China Glaze White on White for the fur, China Glaze Liquid Leather for the belt, Zoya Pippa with OPI Dazzled By Gold over it for the belt buckle.

Left Thumb: But I heard him exclaim, ‘ere he drove out of sight,
"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!"

China Glaze Ruby Pumps as a base, with China Glaze White on White for the writing.

Everything was topped off with two coats of Seche Vite top coat

One more dayyyyyy!!! Merry Christmas!!

A simpler snowman deisgn

I thought I would do another snowman, but make it much simpler. So I did just the face of a snowman. It is very easy and doesn't take that long at all. Hope you enjoy! BTW, my videos will get better... I got a new editing system that is much better than the one I am using now. My dad is going to help me figure out how to use it.

Feel free to leave a comment below! I will answer any questions you might have, and I love getting comments! If you have any requests, please let me know :)

Merry Christmas!!!

The first thing I noticed was how great their bottle label is, I love the design.
Then there are the color names:

Day 71

...and through the sea of swirly, twirly gumdrops... :-P Today's nails are from the snowy North Pole!!

I used Milani Fairy Tale as a base(which I can't find a link to buy, because it was LE for Halloween- I have one backup if anyone wants to buy it, lmk, $4.50 +shipping - which is what I paid), with OPI Alpine Snow Matte and Zoya Trixie sponged on the tips, and used to paint the snowflakes. :) For the North Pole sign, I used a mix of Nubar Milk Chocolate Creme, China Glaze White on White and Orange 2 from Urban Outfitters. For the post I used OPI Alpine Snow Matte, and China Glaze Ruby Pumps, which I also used for the holly berries, along with BB Couture Poison Ivy for the leaves.

Only 2 more days!! SQUEEE!!! (so much to do!!)

Just a little off season

Hey Y'alll! I've just finished a new design I created for another contest entry. The theme for this entry is Holidays in general. Contestants are able to pick the holiday of their choice to create a design for. That's really great because just the other day while in Walmart shopping for supplies in anticipation of the recent blizzard I found this really cool glitter polish by Love My Nails. Being that it was only .99 I HAD to get it along with a couple other glitters that I will be using in future tutorials.

Unfortunately the polish is a bit hard to use as it is actual confetti and the slivers curl up so you have to put LOT of clear over. Another thing I didn't really care for was the fact that the silver stars don't come out on the brush. I had to dig around in it with a tooth pick for them. So I'll only be using that for 4th of July. But the finished look is quite awesome.

I'll be uploading the tutorial for this design in the next day or two. I want to say tomorrow but I want to make sure I keep my word in regards to my posts. On that note...I intended on making a full hand tutorial for the Frosty French design but had a memory mishap and I was only able to do it for the index finger. That will be uploaded shortly. Sorry for that. I do work a full time job that mentally wears me out so at times I get a bit loopy. =) Bear with me.

Day 70

You'd better watch out! You better not cry! You Better not pout, I'm tellin' you why... SKULLY CLAUS IS COMINGGGG TO TOWN!

I used OPI for Sephora What's a Tire Jack? Matte as a base (I love this stuff, and its SO easy to clean up cuticles, unlike a lot of other dark mattes), OPI Alpine Snow Matte for the skull applied with Konad Plate m28. For the red stripes on the crossbones, I used China Glaze Salsa and for the hat I used one layer of China Glaze Salsa, and one layer of China Glaze Ruby Pumps, with China Glaze Emerald Sparkle for the sprig of holly, and OPI Alpine Snow Matte for the ball and brim. :) I love matte polishes, I'm sure Ill wear them long after they've gone out of style. (cause that's how I roll :-P)

3 more days until Christmas, kiddies!!

How to apply rhinstones on your nails

I got my rhinestones at the dollar store. They are a fun decoration you can add to your nails :)

Cold as Ice

Day 69

You're as cold as ice, You're willing to sacrifice our love, You never take advice, Someday you'll pay the price....

Nothin' like a little Foreigner to jump-start your day, right? :-P Icicle nails today!! :) As you can see by the creases in a few nails, Seche Vite top coat has completely spoiled me.

and at an angle to see the sparkles...

I used OPI Ink Suede as a base, with China Glaze White on White for the icicles, and mixed with China Glaze For Audrey for the shading of the icicles. To top off the icicles, I used Pure Ice Oh, Baby!, a great (and CHEAP!) color from WalMart, of all places. I frankened a polish with a cheapie black polish and the result was one beautiful black w/ teal sparkled baby. I highly recommend it. It's an iridescent blue clear polish with iridescent glitters. :-P Love it. :)

Snow day

Chris was upset that we still haven't gotten snow. Poor guy loves snow. I guess growing up where it never snows makes you enjoy it even as an adult. So to cheer my hubby up I did a "snow" manicure.
I used Color club Alabaster as my base color. I am so in love with these! Then I used Color club Wonderland glitter and NYC Starry glitter, and then re mattifyed it with Color club matte top coat.

Hello! I just wanted to give a quick update before it's time to go back to work. I've done a new design on my nails and I'm currently working on the video of the full hand. Keep an eye out for that.

On another note, I will also be making a haul video of the products that I use to make my 3D nail art creations. In the video I will give information on where I get my products and a quick overview of pricing information.

Additionally I want to note that I am not paid to endorse or review the products I use at the moment. If the situation changes I will update.

The Christmas season is almost over and unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to make as many designs as I had hoped but I will be working on some New Year's designs for the next couple of weeks so stay tuned.

Also if there are any ladies in Delaware that are intrested in having a New Year's design you can contact me at my website which you can find here:

Mermaid Nail Art Failure

I'm a little sad over this one, I had it pictured in my head and I'm not sure yet where I killed it.
The Idea was to look like the scales of a Mermaids tail.
I used Nina Pro Mermaid over white as my base color. Mermaid is a beautiful sheer pale sparkly green.
I Stamped using konad image plate m57 and China glaze Strawberry fields. Double stamping is not easy and the curve of my nails makes the

All I Want...

Hey Y'all! Here's another Christmas nail art design. This is a very simple elegant Christmas design I've created for the season.

This design was created using red and gold polishes and a red rhinestone and gold mini beads. This design is simple and easy and I have made a full tutorial so go ahead and try it yourself! The tutorial can be found on my website and information on items I used here :

Day 67

Hey all!! Christmas is creeping up on us quick!!I have SO much to do, but can't seem to get anything done, argh!! Today's nails are the only form of Christmas lights I'll be decorating with this year! :-P

I used OPI Dazzled By Gold as a base, with Zoya Trixie applied on the tip half of the nail with a sponge. I used BB Couture Poison Ivy for the wires, China Glaze Salsa for the thumb's light, Ultra Pro in Blue Blaze for the index finger light, Zoya Pippa for the middle finger light, Barielle Grape Escape for the ring finger light, and Zoya Paz for the pinky finger light. For the highlight on each bulb, I used China Glaze White on White mixed with the color of the bulb. Topped everything off with 2 coats of Seche Vite top coat.

A Very Konad Khristmas

Day 66

Hey all! Today I decided to do a simple nail, because #1. I fell asleep on the couch last night before I painted my nails and #2. I woke up late, so it was simple nails or be late for work, and since nails don't pay any bills (they CAUSE bills ;)) I went for simple work and punctuality.

I used China Glaze Salsa as a base, with China Glaze TMI applied with Konad Image Disk m64. For the tips I used China Glaze Emerald Sparkle. Topped it all off with 2 coats of Seche Vite top coat.

7 More days until Christmas!!
