I mean, really, guys? Christian Court? (Let's just ignore the fact that this has no earthly [or heavenly] connection to any kind of color.) Do we...do we miss those? Personally I was getting kind of attached to that whole "separation of church and state" thing we've been working for a while. Did you get sick of that? I mean, I guess it would be pretty cool to turn my loud neighbor in for being a heretic. But then again, someone would probably accuse me of witchcraft, I would have to go through trial by drowning, and it would totally ruin my dress. So that kind of breaks even.

Let's just call the whole thing off, all right? You keep your nail polish, I keep my First Amendment, and if I see you again, we're all going to have a nice chat with the Comfy Chair, mmkay?

Black & Blue Argyle

Good morning, Dear Reader!

I decided to take the advice of my wise friend Mickster and use the Konad patterns that I couldn't double stamp while my nails are short enough to take advantage of them, so I've had some fun with Konad.  There are quite few good ones I haven't been able to use, so I'm glad I had her input.

Yesterday, I used Brucci Black + Blue as a base for an argyle pattern from plate M60.  This pattern was what had me lemming a Konad for about a year before trying it - my friend Grayeyez did a mani with it that just amazed me, and it looked so intricate that I thought Konading would be difficult.  I'm grateful it's not!  Here's Black + Blue on its own.

 

 

For the argyle pattern, I used Revlon Petal Chrome to stamp.  Here are my results.

 

 

That was the happy result of some Fun with Konad yesterday.

Brucci Black Emerald

Good morning, Dear Reader!

Recently, on my message board, I was lamenting the fact that I've never seen Brucci polishes in a store.  No sooner had I gotten that out of my system than I had an email from a woman who offered to pick up the colors I was pining after for me!  They arrived yesterday, and are nothing short of stunning.

The one I was most excited about, Black Emerald, looked a little muddy in the bottle, but I decided to give it a go anyhow.  I was thrilled to find that its appearance in the bottle is deceptive - on the nail, it's amazing.  Here she is!
