I'm gonna ask you all for a massive favour today...

You might have heard about the competition that Bundle Monster are running on their Facebook page. Contestants were asked to submit a photo of their nails decorated with Bundle Monster products and the 25 entrants with the most votes from the public will win a set of their new plates.

The picture above is a sneak peek of the mani I entered into the competition. I would really appreciate if you could click over to the competition here or here to take a quick look at my entry and see if you think I'm deserving of your vote. It's a really simple thumbs up system for voting.
You can vote for each entry once per day. So you can bet I'm gonna be nagging you every time I post until the competition is over haha.

Thank You :)

Houndstooth

I forgot how much I love this pattern. I had so many compliments about my nails yesterday. I think this houndstooth pattern is great because you can't tell which colour is stamped on, it's so seamless, the only problem is the size of the all over Bundle Monster patterns - they're quite small and don't always cover the whole nail which is when you get seams starting to appear!

A New Chrome Discovery

Hey guys! I know I've been M.I.A. for a few days, other than my constant twitter moaning, but it's exam period in Uni at the moment and I have 4 exams to study for. I got the first one out of the way this morning so I felt I deserved a break from revision and stressing to do my nails properly.

A few weeks ago, I saw swatches of a chrome polish from Avon at Goose's Glitter. I know how amazing chromes are for stamping and since I know Avon is a brand I can get my hands on here in the UK, I started my treasure hunt to get my hands on a bottle.

Avon aren't actually selling this on their website or in the book, but I found a few bottles on eBay and eventually won the bidding on this one at a good price. It popped through my door on Saturday but due to my lack of studying last week, my weekend was crammed full of it so I had no time to play with my new polish.

So today, as a reward to myself for all my work, I went a bit overboard with manicuring. I painted my nails about 5 different colours today before I was happy!

Out of Spice

Sorry about the lack of variety over the last few weeks. I migrated home over the Christmas holidays and could only bring a limited amount of kit with me. I've only got 35 polishes with me - that's actually a lot now I've counted but when I look at them in the drawer it looks like nothing! - and only 2 of them are any good for stamping so my manis have been a bit samey.

It also occurred to me that many of you may not be aware of the Bundle Monster plates so I've put a link there underneath the picture for you to check out the Amazon listing. If you want to get into stamping but don't want to splash out big bucks on the Konad plates, the BM's are great. You just need to make sure you get a stamp and scraper (or you can use a credit card to scrape like I do) from somewhere.

Happy Christmas to All and to All a Good Night...

It's CHRISTMAS!! Well nearly anyway :)
I spent my Christmas eve shopping with my mum and then at the cinema with my dad so I'm super tired and hopefully won't wake up too early out of excitement. Yes, I'm almost two decades old and I still can't sleep through the night on Christmas Eve!
Today's nails are kind of Christmassy. I think this pattern would make awesome wrapping paper in festive colours.

I Got My Hopes Up

I bought a new white polish hoping it would be great for stamping. It's from the George @ Asda range, which are all quick-drying, and I've had two great ones from there - both blues - but this wasn't as opaque as I was hoping. I still think it's good for stamping, just not as great as the Stargazer white I normally use. But still, a nice subtle effect.

I Lost my Sally's Virginity!

I went to Sally's for the first time today and it was very exciting. They had OPI's for £9.99 and China Glaze's for £5.99 which is very expensive for a 15ml bottle of polish but I don't know if they retail at a similar price in the States.
I was on the lookout for some ASP Nail Whitening Paste which was recommended to me by Beata but it was £5.99 (which I knew before I went but I just wanted to go and see it!) so I ended up leaving without it but I did buy a monster (500ml) bottle of acetone which works out at half the price of buying a 50ml bottle each time in a pharmacy.

I'm trying to grow my nails a teeny bit longer and get them all at the same length but even as I type this, the nail on my ring finger is winding me up! I keep hitting all the wrong keys, especially caps lock instead of the A. I don't know how all you ladies do anything with such long nails!

Bebé Blue

This is one of my most popular mani's of late. I got complimented by two ladies at the bank who initially thought they were false nails and were very curious about how I did it, and the lady who runs the Hula Hooping Class I went to.
I like this pattern because it's hard to tell which colour has been stamped and which is the base (except on the middle finger where you can see the edges of the stamp!)

Don't you find it hard to explain Konadding to someone who has never seen it before?! I'm always saying something along the lines of... 'Uuuh, it's a metal disc with embossed patterns and a scraper and rubber stamp and you just transfer it over!' or something else equally incomprehensible and long winded. People just look at me blankly and pretend they get it!
