It's the Great Pumpkin!

Hey Y'all! This is my last Halloween design I created for this year's series. =( This design is based on Charlie Brown's Halloween story It's the Great Pumpkin! I made a couple of holographic glitter mixes for the background. I made a green with the holographic that were Olive color and some chunky dark green glitter for the grass. I used light green & olive foil for the leaves. I made a blue holographic mix with the small blue hexagons for the sky. For this design I wanted to try some inlaid 3d acrylic sculpture to give some depth by making a few pumpkins & the moon. Hope you all like it!

The Grudge Acrylic Nail Art

Hey Y'all! This is my Halloween design based on the movie The Grudge. I made Kayako's eye embedded into my thumb and Toshio's face on my ring finger. To create the background I made a red & black glitter mix with red holographic, small red hexagons, small black hexagons & tiny black rectangles. I also added a few large black hexagons on all the finger except the thumb. Hope you all enjoy!

Ringu part 2

Hey Y'all! This is the 2nd Ring inspired design I created for Halloween. I decided to try making her coming out of the well!

I used the same products as part one of the design. Sorry this post is short! I have a few I want to add before the night is over. Have a safe & happy Halloween!

Even More Halloween Nails

Happy Halloween, Dear Reader!

Well, I didn't get as many Halloween manicures done as I wanted to this year, but I have today's and another to show you today.  The one from last week was done using the Color Club Cast a Spell set of Halloween minis along with some Halloween Art Club rhinestones for Halloween, both of which Color Club sent to me.

The mini set has a black, orange, holo, and dark purple shimmer (the same purple as last year, I think).  The really cool thing it has is some fun decals.  I was just playing around with it and did an orange manicure with a black accent nail, then applied the decals to the orange nails and a line of orange rhinestones to the accent nail.  This is what I came up with.

For today, I did a simple manicure, but it's the scariest one for me.  I'll even tell you the little story of why it's the scariest (if you don't care, feel free to skip to the paragraph after the story).  It's spider-related, so if they care you skip it.

Six or seven years ago, I lived in new house on the edge of town, in a neighborhood that was being developed in what used to be corn fields.  Now, I've always been terrified of spiders, and when the construction guys would dig a new lot out of this corn field, the spiders and bugs were everywhere.  So gross and scary... After a few months of panicking at the sight of a spider, I decided I'd be all Zen and not kill them anymore, just ignore them and go about my business in order to get over my fear of them.  Good plan, right?  I soon saw two spider webs in the corner of the bedroom a few feet from my side of the bed, and for a few days was all pleased with myself for ignoring them.  Pleased, that is, until I woke up one morning to zillions of tiny spider dots all over two walls of the room and squished all over the bed.  The two spiders had mated and the eggs had hatched overnight.  I have never again felt compelled to peacefully coexist with an arachnid, and am more freaked out than ever about spiders.

Back to the manicure!  In honor of my scary spider story, I decided to do a spider in a web on my left ring nail.  For the base color, I decided on Chanel Rouge Noir - it's a good dried blood color, and sufficiently Halloween-y on long nails.  For the web and spider, I used stamping plate BM13, white for the web and black for the spider, both Konad Special Polish.  To make my spider even scarier, I added a red dot (Zoya Lisa) to its back to make it a Black Widow.

I really like this manicure because it's not overtly a novelty, the accent nail is more like a little surprise if someone looks closely.  And I couldn't handle more than one spider on my nails, lest they become friends and make zillions of tiny spider dots.

So, that's the update on Halloween manicures and your scary Halloween story to start out the day.  I hope you have a great day today, and until next time, love and nail polish to you!

Nail art #18 - Can't breathe, like freeze...

Lots of ♥♥♥ to you if you get my post title :PPP. Lol I'm so sad, but this totally came to mind; oh Kpop ♥.

Anyway. Happy Halloween! :) I had meant to post a more halloween-esque manicure today, but I just had to try out the corset look after watching this video. I don't think mine came out as well though. Oh well :P.

snazzle2

I used Ulta3's Snazzle for this manicure and it is such a lovely silver foil. It's also not one of those extremely in your face silvers, so that just makes it all the more awesome. The black polish is from Maybelline Colorama's Dark Chocolate and Candy Apple for the red.

And here's a macro shot of Snazzle to show the foil.

A more traditional Halloween manicure! :o)

This one is for my less demented friends! (Do I have any of those?)**Disclaimers first: Sorry for the gator skin but scrubbing fake blood off does tend to suck all of the moisture out of you. Sorry for the still slightly "blood" stained cuticles.
I tried to whip up an orange holo for this but neon orange does not take to holo very well.Still pretty but more of an odd shimmer than holo.I used the

Dior Aztec Chocolate 886

Good morning, Dear Reader!

Today I have a swatch of Dior Aztec Chocolate, one of the new holiday colors from Dior.  It's an elegant brown with a visible shimmer.  It applied like a dream and dried quickly, which is typical of Diors for me.  This is two coats.

I love browns for Fall, and I especially like how understated this one is.  I think it's really gorgeous.

That's what I have for you today, Dear Reader.  Until next time, love and nail polish to you!

NOTD: Bring it on + RAOK from my friend Jovis

Hi again,

i just remembered that i forgot to post this mani. i made it last Tuesday. the design was inspired by the movie Bring it On. well i love that movie a lot. whenever i got bored, i always find myself watching movies (which i already did watched before) and Bring it On is always a very good choice for me. i love cheerleading and dancing and stuffs like that. i'm really amaze by the stunts and routines that they do. i simply love cheering squads. well this design was from the first part of Bring it On. the team Toros and Clovers
not really good in free hand but i love it.

and also, later this afternoon, me and my Gorgeous friend, Jovis met at the mall. i gave her the LV decal that i bought last last week and in return she gave me a wonderful Pink Maybelline lipstick.

looks really chic and girly. so cute. thanks Jovis. so that's all for today

snacks instead of nail polish hauls

Hi everyone,

last Wednesday,  i was about to buy some new nail polish hauls. i found a bunch of nice and wonderful polishes but me and my boyfriend got hungry so we decided to eat first before buying the polishes. after eating, we went on the mall's supermarket to check if there is a "Tanduay Ice" (it is an alcoholic drink but the taste is more of like a soda) and guess what, i just found myself buying yummy snacks.

yummy yummy gummy bears =)
i love eating. and when i found my all time favorite candy, the Gummy Bears, i grabbed it w/o any hesitation well it's been a long time since i bought them. i miss eating gummy bears. but you know what? all those goodies costs 800 pesos. aww too bad i can't buy the polishes that i saw. anyway there's always a "Next Time" =)

Back to the bat cave

Hello ladies,

Here is my newest Halloween mani!! I'm some into doing sponge designs lately. For the base color I used Wet "n" Wild Black creme, then I sponged on Essence Show Off Here I Am to make it look like toxic smoke, after that I used different bat designs.

What I used for this mani

Wet "N" Wild: Black Creme
Essence Show Off Collection: Here I Am!
Jordana French Manicure: White
Stamping Plate: T23 and BM13

So what do you think?

Thanks for looking.

Illamasqua Viridian

Good afternoon, Dear Reader!

Today I got to try out Illamasqua Viridian, and it's every bit as good as Scarab.  Viridian is a bluish green shimmer, and it's also really glowy.  These two may have the best application ever.  Two coats was all it took.

Ain't she a beauty?  I think it's fantastic.

That's it for today, Dear Reader.  Until next time, love and nail polish to you!

Nail art #17 - A bit of this and that ♥

Heyyyy! I just heard from a friend that one of my assignments due next week has been extended to mid Novemeber so I'm celebrating by not working on it and blogging :P. I'm also on the road to recovery now so I felt up for a little nail art today :). Just something random I came up with since I was in a cheerful mood today.
randomness

I used two coats of China Glaze's Light as air for my first, fourth and fifth fingers as well as the leopard prints on my third finger. For the base on that finger, I applied two coats of Ulta3's Lily White. I used Maybelline's Dark Chocolate for the black line and and leopard prints. White stripes are done by using my Glossyblossom striper. Oh, the glitter is from mwah's Magnetic.

I'm really happy with this mani overall and I especially love how the leopard prints turned out. I can't believe how easy they are to do! More of them coming in the future now, haha :P.

A little Halloween gift to you my lovely readers......

I love you all so dearly that I though for Halloween you deserved something very special....I give you my HEART!Muahahahahahahahaha!Oh it get's worseAs you can tell I'm a bit of a "bleeding heart"Maybe I should've saved this idea so you could be my Bloody Valentines!*giggle*The glamour shot! Before the gore....sort ofEven Dexter fears my clawsThe Base color is China Glaze EncouragementThen I

No7 Poolside Blue

I always find No7 polishes a bit frustrating. They have some great colours but I hate the tall bottles and the brushes. It's impossible to keep the rim of the bottle clean and the brushes don't spread over the nail as you swipe so you have to swipe at least 3 times to cover the nail.
But, as I said, the colours are amazing and this one's no exception. It's the boldest blue I own and I love it.

In Stitches

Base Colour: Collection 2000 Hot Looks - Spangles
For the stitches I used BYS Glamourpuss and then W77 Black over the top. I used a little paintbrush.
I used a top coat of GOSH and then one of NYC to flatten all the red and black.

I don't see any mummies!!

Hello ladies, Ok here is my Halloween mani for today :)

For today I have cute silly little mummies lol I love the way they came out, This is the first time I used a sponge for my design. For the base color I used white then I used CG Ingrid and kron gold mixed them both together and sponged it onto the white to get a dirty look, I waited for that to dry and then drew on the black lines after that I got out my dotting tool and blobbed on a black oval circle so it looks like the eyes are sticking out last but not least I added 2 white circles for the eyes and 2 black circles for the pupils.

What I used

Jordana: White
Wet "N" Wild: Black Creme
China Glaze: Ingrid
Kron: Gold
Essence Nail Art Pen: Blsck
Essence: Quick dry top coat

Look how this little guy is looking on my left hand :D To cute.

So what do you think?

Thanks for looking.

Illamasqua Scarab

Good morning, Dear Reader!

Today I'm wearing a nail polish with a good name for Halloween, Illamasqua Scarab.  It's a dark red shimmer with a hint of brown to it, and the shimmer really glows.  Application of Scarab was exceptionally good - the polish seems a little thick, but I used it as-is and it pretty much applied itself.  This is two coats.

Illamasqua Scarab
Illamasqua Scarab Nail Polish, Two Coats

From the picture, you can see how easy Scarab was to apply.  I didn't do any cleanup to my nails or to the picture, but the line where the polish ends at the cuticle is really crisp just because that's how it went on.  Good stuff.

That's what I have for you this morning, Dear Reader.  Until next time, love and nail polish to you!
